GLOBAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT"Global Economic Development" as an academic discipline of the third (educational and scientific) level of higher education involves graduate students` consistent mastery of the key principles of research at a high quality level, which is one of the features that distinguish doctors from persons who have mastered the competencies provided by the Master's Degree. The relevance of teaching the discipline "Global Economic Development" is stipulated not only by the differences between levels of education, but also by the growing importance of research and innovation in the knowledge-based economy. The effectiveness of research activities is based on the quality of research and the scientific basis on which economic decisions are made, as well as on the ability of researchers to communicate research results in an accessible and convincing manner. The academic discipline "Global Economic Development" is a part of specialized economic disciplines cycle at the Faculty of International Economics and Management and is based on the Master's Degree courses previously mastered by graduate students: "Philosophy", "International Economics", "Economic Theory", "Business Economics", "Management", "Marketing", "International Economic Activity of Ukraine", "International Trade", "International Organizations", etc. The course based on the achievements of domestic and foreign scientists, lays the foundation for a system of knowledge and skills in organizing and conducting research activities. The goal of the discipline is to form the system of theoretical knowledge and ideas about the philosophy and logic of global economic development and the ability to use them in scientific research. Course objectives: - to equip graduate students with knowledge of the latest paradigm of global economic development; - to teach students to analyse and determine the current role of natural, energy, innovation and technological resources in global economic development; - to form understanding of the essence of the global economy intellectualization and the role of human resources in the economic development of countries and regions; - to promote the acquisition of knowledge about the current asymmetries of the global economy and globalization mechanisms of the world financial market; - to form in postgraduate students understanding of the nature of financial globalism and the ability to assess its impact on global economic equilibrium; - to help realize the logic, forms and mechanisms of cyclical global economic development; - to form understanding of the methods, mechanisms and tools of the modern regulatory system of global economic development; - to equip graduate students with the ability to systematically assess global challenges for Ukraine and develop strategies for national economic development; - to develop in graduate students the ability to use the acquired knowledge in the research activities and operate international statistical as well as accounting and analytical databases. The object of the course is the theoretical and methodological foundations of the activity of economists of the Doctoral level of education. The subject of the discipline is the resources, factors and mechanisms of global economic development and the processes of its institutionalization.
