Educational and Methodological Work
The academic staff of the Department employs innovative and interactive methods to actively engage students in their studies, including discussions and teamwork. The teaching methodology of the Department is guided by several key principles: a scientific approach, which involves the use of modern analytical models, developed by our faculty members; accessibility ensuring that teaching aligns with the educational needs of the students; and a focus on helping students achieve their aspirations, taking into account their professional orientation and desire to gain expertise in the field of European integration. As part of the interdisciplinary training in the Master`s Degree Programme “European Integration”, students participate in micro-modeling exercises that simulate the Ukraine-EU convergence process, utilizing didactic innovations tailored to their individual interests.
LIST OF TEACHING AND DIDACTIC ACTIVITY DIRECTIONS
Developing students' competence in the following domains:
- evaluating the dynamic and static effects of economic integration;
- understanding the strategic aims, tasks, directions and sectoral priorities of the European Union development;
- learning the order, procedures, and allocation of financial resources for the realization of mega-regional (common) interests of the integration block;
- exploring the mechanisms and instruments of sectoral and horizontal EU policy coordination;
- analyzing the algorithms of evaluation of the consequences of wide-range EU projects implementation.
Capacity building in the following strands:
- investigating the character and dynamics of financial and economic activities of European companies;
- determining the structure, character and implementation phases of joint Ukrainian - European projects;
- identifying the companies' organizational structures and investment mechanisms within European sectoral markets;
- defining the regulative priorities for systemic support of small and medium-sized businesses in the EU;
- evaluating the efficiency of managerial decisions related to corporate culture diffusion.
Forming proficiency in the field of:
- planning, developing and implementing cooperative projects;
- strategic planning of companies’ activities within the European Economic Area;
- negotiating the creation and realization of projects financed by the EU funds;
- harmonizing regulatory systems;
- organizing systemic research on the efficiency of project deviations management.
Providing the students with competences, required for the exploitation of:
- evaluating the methodologies related to convergent dynamics of Ukraine − EU rapprochement;
- using heuristic systems to forecast the consequences of economic models’ convergence between Ukraine and EU Member States;
- implementing EU technical aid programmes for Ukraine, focusing on the complementary accumulation of financial resources;
- developing acoordination model for enhancing economic cooperation between Ukraine and the EU;
- utilizing the European evaluation system to assess progress in selective sectors of the economy related to the EU-Ukraine rapprochement.
