On April 27, 2026, the Department of International Trade and Marketing at the Faculty of International Economics and Management of KNEU hosted a practical workshop on ‘The capabilities of the YouControl ecosystem for vetting counterparties in international contracts’.

The event was organised online and attended by students from the Bachelor’s programme in ‘International Trade’ and the Master’s programme in ‘International Trade and Marketing’.

The speaker at the workshop was Olesia Spesivtseva — an expert in financial monitoring, AML, financial and tax risk assessment, and public finance management. The event explored practical approaches to verifying the reliability of counterparties in international contracts using digital analytical tools.

Particular attention was paid to the capabilities of the YouControl system regarding:

• analysing the corporate structure of companies;

• identifying links between business entities;

• assessing the risks of cooperation with counterparties;

• verifying the financial and legal transparency of business partners.

The practical intensive course was application-oriented and enabled students to familiarise themselves with modern digital tools for vetting counterparties, which are critically important in the field of international trade and the conclusion of foreign economic contracts.

Participation in the event contributed to the development of students’ analytical skills, the formation of risk management skills, and the enhancement of the practical training of future specialists.
