In 1973 Tamara Hordieieva graduated with honours from Taras Shevchenko Kyiv State University, specialising in "economic cybernetics", gained a "mathematician-economist" qualification.

She graduated from the Institute of Cybernetics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. In 1982, she defended her PhD thesis

Academic title - Associate Professor.

Experience in scientific and pedagogical work - over 40 years. Tamara Hordieieva worked at the Institute of Cybernetics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the Institute of World Economy and International Relations of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the International Institute of Management (MIM-Kyiv). Since 1998 she has been an Associate Professor at Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman.

Tamara Hordieieva did an internship at the Carnegie Mellon University Business School (Pittsburgh, the USA).
