Participation of KNEU Professor Oleg Shvydanenko in the 18th International Teaching Week in Bratislava07 May 2025р.

On April 14–16, 2025, Professor Oleg Shvydanenko, Doctor of Economics and Professor at the Department of International Economics of Vadym Hetman Kyiv National Economic University (KNEU), took part in the 18th International Teaching Week, traditionally held at the University of Economics in Bratislava (Slovenská ekonomická univerzita v Bratislave, EUBA). This higher education institution is a long-standing strategic partner of KNEU, with a history of close cooperation including academic mobility and a joint international double degree program.

This year’s program brought together academic representatives from Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Estonia, France, Romania, Spain, Greece, and Ukraine. Such extensive international engagement contributed to intercultural dialogue and the exchange of best practices in the teaching of economic disciplines. Throughout the week, the event featured open lectures, master classes, and panel discussions aimed at sharing experiences in teaching economics, sustainable development, and global transformations in the world economy.

As part of his visit and participation in the 18th International Teaching Week, Professor Shvydanenko delivered a series of lectures and seminars on the topic "World Economy" for students of the Faculty of International Relations at EUBA. During these sessions, students and faculty actively discussed key aspects of global economic policy, the current situation in Ukraine, and the country's prospects in the context of European economic integration.

In addition, several thematic events and meetings were held between participants and representatives of the University of Economics in Bratislava, focused on inter-university mobility, research cooperation, and the development of joint educational programs.

A significant contribution to the successful implementation of the 18th International Teaching Week was made by the active participation of EUBA’s top leadership — Rector Professor Ferdinand  Daňo and Vice-Rector for International Relations Dr. Boris Mattoš — in all official ITW events. They were engaged participants in key discussions and repeatedly emphasized the importance of developing partnerships between universities and strengthening effective academic dialogue among universities in Central and Eastern Europe.

The participation of a representative from KNEU’s Department of International Economics in the 18th International Teaching Week marked another step toward deepening international academic cooperation, strengthening ties with leading educational institutions worldwide, and enhancing KNEU’s image as an active and respected member of the global educational community.
