Lecture from PwC for bachelors of the educational program “International Economics”18 Mart 2025р.

On March 14, 2025, 2nd year students of the educational and professional program “International Economics” had the opportunity to join a unique educational event - a lecture from a long-term partner of the Vadym Hetman Kyiv National Economic University, PwC Ukraine, on the topic “Transfer pricing: life hack for global business”. The speaker was Denys Butylo, Senior Manager of Transfer Pricing at PwC Ukraine.

Transfer pricing is an important tool for international business that requires a balance between corporate interests and government regulation. The lecture covered theoretical issues and practical aspects of transfer pricing, as well as the main methods of price setting. The lecture provided an opportunity to understand how transfer prices can be used to optimize financial flows and tax burden; when it is better to use the comparative uncontrolled price method and when to use the cost plus method; what are the nuances of using the resale price method and how to use the profit sharing method correctly and many other applied issues. The students took part in the discussion of practical cases, and the most active ones received branded gifts from PwC.

Also, during the meeting, students were able to get to know PwC, which is one of the four largest audit firms in the world and sets standards for the provision of professional audit, tax, legal and consulting services. The students learned about the peculiarities of PwC's functioning, employment opportunities and career growth in the company.

The lecture was held in a friendly atmosphere, and the students were active in considering practical cases.
