14.06.2013 Representative office of Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Ukraine and Byelorussia jointly with the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on European Integration conducted the international conference in Kyiv. Its topic was “Social dimension of European integration of Ukraine: towards new legislative initiatives and strengthening the collaboration between Ukraine and the European Union”. There were people’s deputies of Ukraine, representatives of executive power of Ukraine and diplomatic corps, as well as the experts from Ukraine and the European Union among the participants of the conference.

     Within the framework of the conference the representatives of the European Integration department (Prof. Viktor Chuzhykov, Kateryna Nykoniuk, Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman) presented the results of their research work “Social consequences of European integration of Ukraine: the higher education and health care systems”. The experts focused on the possible challenges that could face Ukraine as the result of signing the FTA withthe EU, gave the proposals concerning the legislative initiatives to the core committees of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and ministries.
