METHODOLOGY OF ECONOMIC RESEARCH

"Methodology of economic research" as a Doctoral science level involves the graduate students` consistent mastery of the key principles of research at a high quality level, which is one of the features that distinguish doctors from persons who have mastered the competencies of the Master's Degree.

The relevance of the discipline "Methodology of Economic Research" is stipulated not only by the differences between levels of education, but also by the growing importance of research and innovation in the knowledge-based economy. The effectiveness of research activities is centred on the quality of research and scientific basis on which economic decisions are based, as well as on the ability of researchers to communicate research results in an accessible and convincing manner.

Course goal: to acquire basic competencies in the main processes, goals, structure, information sources, and practices of scientific research, in particular in the field of international economics.

The object of the course is the theoretical and methodological foundations for the activities of economists of Doctoral level of education.

The subject of the course is the methodology of scientific research, in particular in the field of international economics.
